Are my logs uploaded?
No. Logwise reads your logs in your browser, on your computer or phone. Nothing from them is sent anywhere, and there is no account. The finished analysis and your car profiles are kept in the same browser until you forget them.
Which ECUs does it work with?
MoTeC M1 today: the .ld logs that M1 Tune saves, from ECUs like the M130 and M150. Haltech, Link Engine Management and Emtron are planned. See Works with.
Does Logwise change my tune or write to my ECU?
Never. Logwise only reads logs and gives advice. You or your tuner make every change. Anything to do with fuel, ignition or the calibration goes on a list for your tuner, with what was seen and where.
Why won't it coach me on the street?
Drag and roll coaching is for the strip. Launch, traction and boost advice only switches on when you mark a download as a Strip day. Without it you still see every run, the health checks and anything for your tuner.
What do green, amber and the tuner arrow mean?
Green is yours to change at the track: tyre pressures, launch rpm, boost by gear, keypad settings. Amber stays inside the limits your tuner set. The arrow means take it to your tuner: fuel, ignition and calibration.
Where do I find my .ld files?
M1 Tune saves them when you retrieve logged data from the ECU. Level 1 logs hold long histories at about 10 Hz and are best for health; Level 2 logs hold about an hour at up to 200 Hz and are best for runs. Drop both into Logwise.
How accurate are the pass times?
They come from GPS or ground speed, with a 0.3 m rollout like the strip's beams. They are an estimate: the timing slip from the track is the official number.
Does it work at the track with no reception?
Yes. After the first visit, the app keeps a copy of itself in your browser and opens with no internet. The Trackside screen is built for a phone between rounds, with a Sunlight mode for full sun.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Every screen works at phone width. Reading an hour of 200 Hz logs is quicker on a laptop.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the beta. Prices come before the beta ends, and the waitlist hears first. See Pricing.
Is it only for drag racing?
The debrief, health checks, Dyno mode and tuner reports work for any log. The driving coaching is drag first; roll racing and circuit editions come later. Tell us what you race on the waitlist.
Can my tuner use it?
Yes. The tuner report is one printable page with the chart that proves each item, and Dyno mode writes a touch-up list after a dyno day. Tuners are welcome on the waitlist too.
How do I move a car to another computer?
In the app, open the car switcher and choose Export this car to a file. The file holds the profile, the event log and the saved analysis, never the logs. Import it on the other computer.
Is Logwise made by MoTeC?
No. Logwise is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by MoTeC, Haltech, Link Engine Management or Emtron. It reads the logs their ECUs save.
What is Logwise Link?
A small box for the car that sends your logs to your phone between rounds, so you don't need a laptop and a cable. It's in development, with no pre-orders and no dates. See Logwise Link.
