Logwise Link · In development
Your logs on your phone, between rounds.
Logwise Link is a small box for the car, in development. The idea: it collects the ECU's logs and sends them to your phone at the track, so you can read the debrief before the next round without a laptop and a cable.
What it's for
On a MoTeC M1 today, getting logs off the car means a laptop, M1 Tune and a cable, often in a hurry between rounds. Logwise Link is meant to take that step away: the logs go from the car to the Logwise app on your phone, and the debrief is waiting when you get back to the pits.
It's being designed for MoTeC M1 first, the ECU Logwise reads today.
If your ECU already has Wi-Fi
Some ECUs can already send logs without a cable. Haltech Nexus ECUs have Wi-Fi built in, and Link G5 ECUs have it with their Comms module. On those, Logwise Link shouldn't be needed.
Logwise reads MoTeC M1 logs today; Haltech and Link Engine Management are planned.
What we're aiming for
The Logwise mark, three rising bars, is also meant to be its status lights. These are design goals, not promises.
Car to phone
The same rule as the app: logs go from the car to your phone, not to a server.
Fit and forget
Stays in the car, starts with it, and needs nothing from you at the track.
Read, never write
Like the app, it only reads. It will never change anything in the ECU.
