What Logwise collects.
Your logs never leave your computer. Everything Logwise does collect is on this page, and none of it comes from your logs.
Your logs and your car: never collected
Logwise reads your .ld logs inside your browser. Nothing from them is sent anywhere: no data, no channel values, no file names, no car names, no ECU serial numbers.
So a car reopens without its logs, the app keeps each car's finished analysis in your browser on that computer: the runs, health checks and dyno pulls it worked out, the car's name and ECU serial, the log file names, and a short history of each download (its date, runs, best pass and health). The logs themselves are never kept or copied.
What you tell the coach is kept there too: car profiles, where each download was (strip, track, dyno or street) and which were strip days, your event log (venue, weather, what you changed and how it felt), dyno sheets, your day 1 baseline, and your settings (theme, Sunlight mode and units).
You can export a car to a file to open it on another computer. The file holds the car's profile, event log and finished analysis, never the logs, and it's saved on your computer: Logwise doesn't send it anywhere.
None of it leaves your browser. To remove it, use Forget this car on a car's profile, or Forget everything in the garage; clearing your browser's site data removes it too.
So the app opens at the track with no signal, your browser also keeps a copy of the app itself and the example logs. That copy holds nothing of yours.
Visit counts: Cloudflare Web Analytics
On logwise.com.au and app.logwise.com.au, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits. It uses no cookies and nothing stored in your browser, and it doesn't follow you across other sites.
It records: the page visited, the site you came from, your country, your browser and type of device, and how fast the page loaded. It only runs when you're online.
Error reports: only when something breaks
If the app hits an error, it sends a short report so it can be fixed:
- the error message and where in Logwise's code it happened (the stack trace)
- the app version (for example 0.1.0+abc1234)
- your browser's name and major version (for example Chrome 131)
- which screen you were on, by name only (for example health or trackside), never which car or download
Before a report leaves your browser, Logwise removes file names, folder paths, car names and ECU serial numbers from it, and the server checks again. Reports never contain anything from your logs. At most five are sent per visit. They're kept for 90 days, then deleted.
Feedback and the contact form: only what you send
When you press Send feedback in the app, or send the contact form on this site, Logwise receives:
- your message
- your email address, to reply to you (optional in the app, needed on the contact form)
- the app version and which screen you were on (or "site" for the contact form)
Messages are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
The waitlist: only if you join
When you join the waitlist, Logwise keeps:
- your email address
- your answers, if you give them: what you race, your ECU and your gearbox
- when you joined, and when the confirmation email was sent
- a random code for the link that takes you off the list
It's used only to email you about Logwise: when it reads your ECU, when coaching for how you race is ready, and when Logwise Link is ready. Your answers help decide what comes first.
Every email has a link to leave. Leaving deletes your email address and answers straight away; they aren't kept marked as "unsubscribed". Joining again with the same address updates your answers rather than adding you twice.
If confirmation emails are switched on, they're sent through Resend, which receives your email address and the message to deliver it.
Where it's kept, and who sees it
Error reports, messages and the waitlist are stored in a database on Cloudflare (D1), reached through api.logwise.com.au. Logging of what's sent to it is turned off, and no IP addresses are stored with it. Only the person who runs Logwise reads it. It isn't sold or shared, and it isn't used for advertising.
Cloudflare runs the site, the app and the API, so it handles the network traffic; Cloudflare's privacy policy covers that.
Want to see, change or delete what Logwise holds about you? Ask, from the email address it's about.
