Terms
Terms of use.
The deal in plain English: Logwise reads your logs and gives advice. You and your tuner decide what to do with it.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Logwise, run from Australia. They cover the Logwise app at app.logwise.com.au, this site, the waitlist, and files the app makes (like car export files and reports). By using Logwise you agree to them.
2. Advice only
- Logwise reads data logs and gives information and suggestions. It never writes to, programs or changes an ECU.
- You, or your tuner, decide whether to make any change, and make it. Anything to do with fuel, ignition or the calibration is for your tuner.
- Logwise works from what's in the logs. Sensors fail, logs miss things and analysis can be wrong. Check anything that matters with your own eyes, your tuner or a mechanic before acting on it, and never rely on Logwise as the only check of an engine's health.
- Pass times, weather-corrected ETs and best shift points are estimates. The timing slip from the track is the official number.
3. Racing is for the track
Motorsport is dangerous. Drag and roll coaching is for the strip, and Logwise won't help make a car faster on public roads. Don't use Logwise to race or speed on public roads. Follow the rules of your track and your sanctioning body, and use the safety gear they require.
4. Your logs and your data
Your logs stay yours. The app reads them in your browser and doesn't upload them. What Logwise collects is listed on the privacy page. Keep your own copies of your logs: clearing your browser removes what the app kept.
5. Beta, and price
Logwise is in beta and free for now. Features may change, be added or be taken away. Before paid plans start, prices will be on the pricing page and you'll have notice before anything you use starts to cost money.
6. Using it fairly
- Only add logs you're allowed to use: your own car's, or a customer's with their permission.
- Don't try to break, overload or copy the app or the API, or use them to send spam.
- Logwise's name, logo, design and code belong to Logwise. The example cars and their logs are made up, and are for trying the app.
7. Australian Consumer Law, and limits
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Apart from those, Logwise is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows, Logwise isn't liable for loss or damage from using it or relying on it, including damage to an engine, a car or anything else, or the result of a race.
8. Other people's trademarks
Logwise reads logs from ECUs made by other companies. MoTeC, M1, Haltech, Nexus, Link Engine Management, G5 and Emtron belong to their owners. Logwise is independent and isn't affiliated with, made by or endorsed by any of them.
9. Changes, and getting in touch
If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with a new date; big changes will be pointed out in the app. Questions: contact us.
