Works with
MoTeC M1 today. More ECUs planned.
Logwise reads one ECU family today, properly, rather than many badly. The analysis is written once, so each new ECU gets the same debrief, health checks and coaching.
ECU support
| ECU | Status | What Logwise reads |
|---|---|---|
| MoTeC M1 | Works today | The .ld logs M1 Tune saves when you download from the ECU, Level 1 and Level 2, from M1 ECUs like the M130 and M150. Tested on real logs from both. |
| Haltech | Planned | Haltech's own logs, behind the same analysis. No date yet. |
| Link Engine Management | Planned | Link Engine Management's own logs, behind the same analysis. No date yet. |
| Emtron | Planned | Emtron's own logs, behind the same analysis. No date yet. |

What to log for the most out of Logwise
Logwise never guesses at a channel you don't log. Each check lists what it needs, and the app tells you "log X to unlock this". These unlock the most:
GPS speed or a ground speed sensor for pass times. Front and rear wheel speeds for wheelspin by axle. The Gear channel at 5 Hz or faster.
Oil pressure and temperature, fuel pressure, exhaust temperature for each cylinder, knock by cylinder, lambda and its aim.
Driveshaft or input shaft speed for clutch and converter slip, line pressure and lockup on an automatic, the gearbox controller's slip and shift times on a dual-clutch.
Ambient pressure, temperature and humidity, for ET corrected to standard air and the event log's weather.
Level 2 at up to 200 Hz for runs, launches and shifts; Level 1 at about 10 Hz for long histories and health.
Logwise reads M1's channel names, plus the common names of gearbox controller channels sent over CAN. Names cut short at 31 characters are fine too.
Downloading without a laptop
On an M1 you download logs with a laptop and a cable. Logwise Link, in development, is meant to send them to your phone instead. Haltech Nexus and Link G5 ECUs with their Comms module already have Wi-Fi.
